Patrick Terminals and OneStop Unveil OptiBook for Enhanced Container Management

Cutting-Edge Solution Optimizes Container Transport and Reservations for Efficient Operations

Patrick Terminals and OneStop have jointly unveiled OptiBook, an integrated container management solution linked to the OneStop vehicle reservation system.

OptiBook promises to provide Patrick Terminals’ customers with enhanced visibility of container status, quick access to available containers, and an improved space reservation process.

The new system will streamline the reservation of trucks for dispatched and offloaded containers, offering a transparent process for confirming truck reservations.

OptiBook marks a significant advancement in land-based container management, leveraging geofencing technology to provide real-time visibility into container availability. It is also integrated with the OneStop Deliver app, designed to give operators access to real-time communication, seamless job allocation, and the elimination of cumbersome manual processes.

Sam Askin, CEO of OneStop, expressed his enthusiasm, stating, “We are thrilled to introduce the OptiBook platform at Patrick Terminals in Melbourne. OptiBook is an exciting solution aimed at modernizing and optimizing container transport management. OneStop looks forward to partnering with the industry to implement the OptiBook solution.”

Michael Jovicic, CEO of Patrick Terminals, detailed, “OneStop has developed a container reservation system that will help optimize land-based container management, and we are pleased to collaborate with them to bring this innovation to the market. OptiBook will offer improved container visibility, real-time reservation options based on container availability, resulting in reduced dwell times and smoother truck flow through our terminals, all of which will optimize our land-based operations. It is beneficial for all transport operators, truck drivers, and our terminal team. We eagerly anticipate its launch in December.”

Transport operators will soon receive documentation and support to transition to the new reservation system. Carriers will also receive instructions for downloading and using the OneStop Deliver app. This integration promises to enhance container management efficiency and operational flow for the benefit of all stakeholders.
