Unifeeder Group Launches Direct Service Linking Colombian Ports with Panama

New Route Enhances Connectivity for Time-Sensitive Cargo in the Americas

Colombia Panama

Unifeeder Group, an integral part of DP World Marine Services, has announced the launch of a new direct service linking four ports in Colombia with the port of Manzanillo in Panama, thereby adding a new layer of flexibility for exporting clients, such as fruit producers in the Americas region. The management of this service will be overseen by Unifeeder Group, one of the world’s leading multiregional container and feeder operators.

This new service provides optimal coverage for containerized cargo between the ports of Turbo, Santa Marta, Cartagena, and Barranquilla in northern Colombia, and Manzanillo in Panama, offering swift transit times. It specifically caters to exporting companies dealing with time-sensitive products, such as fresh fruits.

Introducing a layer of flexibility, the service allows for additional calls at central port terminals, subject to incentive (vessels will make additional calls if there is a sufficient amount of cargo available and reserved).

Since October 2022, DP World Marine Services has successfully introduced 19 new maritime routes, enhancing connectivity between key ports worldwide. DP World Marine Services’ route expansions include the Vietnam Indonesia Service (VIS) in April 2023 and the India Middle East Service (IMS) in August 2023, among others. These routes seamlessly link key ports, creating a robust network that enhances business opportunities for companies across various sectors.
